The moon is the worst of friends, I find
All my secrets she brings to mind
When I despise her, with her one-eyed stare
she'll always outlast my stoniest glare.
She taunts me with my most secret fears
and ignores me when she drives me to tears
She laughs at my loneliness, yet lovers adores
Covers the land, yet exposes my sores.
The moon is my worst friend, I moan
But while I am with her, I am never alone.
